    November 2022

    The Little Rock City Council met in regular session November 7, 2022 at 6:00 pm in Council Chambers with Mayor Wietzema presiding. Council members present: A. Kruse, Peters, Schilling, Buss, Lloyd. Absent: None. The minutes of the last meeting were read. There is a correction to the minutes. The motion should read, Motion by Schilling, seconded by Peters, and and carried by all to remove Austin Kannegieter from the Maintenance Account and to add Jeff Rachuy to the Maintenance account and approve a debit card for this account. Minutes then approved by all.

    Larry Tjoland was present to discuss the community getting together to put up a Christmas Lights in the Old City Park and asks if the city would pay for the electric. Motion by Schilling, seconded by Lloyd and carried by all to pay for the electric for the Christmas light display in the Old City Park. The Street Commissioner was present to inform council that Christmas Lights for main street will be put up in next few weeks. Jeff stated that the equipment is ready for winter. Mayor, Council and Jeff then discussed the purchase of new water meter for each household. Motion by Schilling, seconded by Buss, and carried by all to order the water meters and to purchase the mater meters with the ARPA Funds that have been set aside for this purpose. Motion by Lloyd, seconded by Peters, and carried by all to approve all Warrants signed by the Finance Committee. Motion by A. Kruse, seconded by Schilling and carried by all to approve the Liquor License for The Round Table.

    Mayor Wietzema asked council about waiving the rental fee at the Little Rock Rec Center for basketball tournaments. Council decided to leave the fee in place. Mayor and the Council discussed the need for dish towels and dish cloths at the Little Rock Rec Center. The City Clerk will get dish towels and dish cloths for use while the bhilding is being rented. Motion by Schilling, seconded by Lloyd and carried by all to approve a $250.00 donation to Mid-Sioux Opportunity.

    Motion to adjourn at 8:40, seconded and carried by all.
